Figueroa Farms Organic Estate Blend Extra Virgin Olive Oil
This oil is made from a blend of predominantly Italian varietals olives from our orchard. It is certified organic by the California Certified Organic Farmers, CCOF. We picked the olives medium-ripe by hand and brought them immediately to our certified organic mill right next to the orchard on our farm so that they could be milled without any delays. We used the most careful production processes, without any added water or heat to make pure olive juice that is as healthy and delicious as possible. We stored the oil in stainless steel fusti in a cool room so that it could be optimally preserved and bottled it in dark glass bottles to prevent the oil from being damaged by light.
This oil is sophisticated, well-mannered and can be used anywhere. Round and fruity with good pungency, the finely knit polyphenols carry through the long finish.
It is certified extra virgin by the California Olive Oil Council, COOC.
Figueroa Farms is our home and is based in the picturesque Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara County, California, at the foot of Figueroa Mountain. The rolling hills of Santa Ynez Valley share the same latitude, climate, and conditions as the renowned olive regions of Italy and Spain. Olive groves thrive here, and we think that one day Santa Ynez Valley will rival the world's prime olive oil-producing regions. We have 4,500 olive trees and a state of the art mill. We make all the Figueroa Farms oils ourselves here from our fruit and neighboring orchards and have won many awards, national and international, over the years.
